Amazon Gives First Look at Lord Of The Rings Series

Amazon has given the first look at its upcoming The Lord Of The Rings series – and also revealed its premiere date. The series is reported to be the most expensive TV Show of all time, with a budget of $465 Million.

 The highly-anticipated fantasy series will start streaming on September 2nd 2022. It’s understood that new episodes will stream weekly. The first look at the series was released through the show’s official Twitter account…

 

The First Look features an unknown character standing before what looks like, the city of Tirion. Amazon has not confirmed any details associated with the First Look image. 

Production on the First Season recently wrapped in New Zealand. Not many details have been revealed about the series except that it will take place during the ‘Second Age’, thousands of years before the events of “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit.” The series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth.

The series is led by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay. They are joined by executive producers Lindsey Weber, Callum Greene, J.A. Bayona (who is also a director on the series), Belén Atienza, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, Gennifer Hutchison, Bruce Richmond, and Sharon Tal Yguado, co-executive producer and director Wayne Che Yip, director Charlotte Brändström, and producer Christopher Newman.

The cast includes Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.
