Cobra Kai Season 4 To Premiere in December

The highly-anticipated fourth season of Cobra Kai will start streaming in December. The popular Netflix Show was one of the streamer’s most-watched TV Shows. Cobra Kai takes place 30 years after the events of 1984’s The Karate Kid, where a now-successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) faces his previous adversary, down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), who seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.

Netflix dropped the first look at the new series, which you can watch below. The cast & crew filmed the fourth series during the pandemic, wrapping earlier this year.

No specific release date has been given but if it follows Season 3’s release date last year, we can expect to see the series stream in late December.

The show originally launched on YouTube Red back in 2018, with a second season released in 2019. After production of season three was completed, YouTube decided to stop producing scripted original programming, leaving the show without a home. However, Netflix stepped in and acquired the rights to stream the series in June 2020. The show was officially renewed for a fourth season last October ahead of its Season 3 premiere.

Cobra Kai has received critical acclaim and has amassed an even bigger legion of fans, since its debut on Netflix. The show often sees the return of characters from the original films, in Season 4, Terry Silver returns for the first time since The Karate Kid Part III.

Seasons 1-3 of Cobra Kai are streaming now on Netflix.
