Your Honor Renewed For Season 2, Bryan Cranston Returning

Your Honor has been renewed for Season 2 at Showtime, following the series’ release in December last year. It is also confirmed that Bryan Cranston will be returning to reprise his role as Michael Desiato.

Your Honor is Showtime’s popular limited series that has now been picked up for a 10-episode Season 2. The first season followed Cranston as the respected New Orleans judge whose teenage son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies and deceit. Season One had an average of 6.6 million weekly viewers, which made it the network’s most-watched series.

“We were blown away by Your Honor… and by the overwhelming reaction from our subscribers who watched in record numbers,” said Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime. “Imagine our delight when we learned that Peter believed he had more story to tell and Bryan felt he had more depths to plumb. So, along with its millions of fans, I am gleefully shouting ‘Encore!’”

The first season’s production got disrupted by COVID-19 and was partly shot during the pandemic. BAFTA winner Peter Moffat will return as showrunner, executive producer and writer. The announcement was made during Showtime’s portion of the TCA summer virtual press tour.  Filming on Season 2 is slated to begin next year for a 2022 premiere.

Your Honor was released on Sky & NOW in the UK, and Showtime in the US.

Season One of Your Honor also starred Michael Stuhlbarg as Jimmy Baxter, Hope Davis as Gina, Hunter Doohan, Carmen Ejogo, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Sofia Black-D’Elia.
