Following his transfer to hospital, Bob Odenkirk is in a “stable condition after experiencing a heart-related incident” on Tuesday, his management has said. No further details have been provided.

According to multiple reports, actor Bob Odenkirk collapsed during filming for the TV Show, Better Call Saul. It was during the filming of a scene in New Mexico, on Tuesday, when he was taken ill. Odenkirk, 58 years old, was taken by ambulance to the Los Angeles area to receive treatment. 

No further updates have been given since the news broke. The US actor recently led the action thriller Nobody, which received rave reviews. His other acting credits include roles in Little Women, Nebraska, Incredibles 2 and Steven Spielberg’s The Post.

Better Call Saul is currently filming its sixth and final season, which will be broadcast on AMC in 2022 and on Netflix in the UK. The show is a spin-off from the critically acclaimed US TV hit, Breaking Bad which ended in 2013.

Better Call Saul is set before the events of Breaking Bad and follows Odenkirk’s character from a struggling lawyer named Jimmy McGill to Saul Goodman, who he played in Breaking Bad.

Odenkirk has received high praise for his performance in the Series, he’s had four Emmy nominations for Better Call Saul. He previously worked as a comedy writer for Saturday Night Live.
