Helen Mirren Joins “Shazam!” Sequel as Villain
Oscar-Winning Actress, Helen Mirren, has joined the cast of ‘Shazam! Fury Of the Gods’. Mirren will play the villain Hespera, in the sequel to 2019’s Shazam!
Mirren will star alongside Rachel Zegler, the star of Steven Spielberg’s upcoming West Side Story. Sources say Mirren and Zegler will play sisters who both may or may not be of ill intent. The Shazam! sequel will see Zachary Levi reprise his role as the adult version of teenager Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who transforms into a superhero.
Helen Mirren is best known for her role Academy Award-winning role in The Queen (2006) as well as appearances in The Fast and Furious franchise. Most recently, Mirren starred with Ian McKellen in The Good Liar.
