‘You‘ Renewed for Season 4 at Netflix
Ahead of its Season 3 release this Friday, the popular Netflix show, You, is getting a fourth season. The hit Thriller is one of Netflix’s biggest shows, so it’s no surprise that we’ll get to see even more in the future.
The first season of You introduced Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager, who crosses paths with an aspiring female writer. A charming yet awkward crush becomes something even more sinister when the writer becomes Joe’s obsession. Using social media and the internet, he uses every tool to become close to her, even going so far as to remove any obstacle that stands in his way, including people.
In the first 28 days of its release, You Season 2 was watched for a combined total of 457 Million hours by Netflix subscribers. This ranks 7th in the Netflix rankings for Overall Time Spent Viewing a TV Series. Both seasons of You have received critical acclaim, praising Penn Badgley’s creepy but compelling performance.
The series is based on the books ‘You’ and ‘Hidden Bodies’ by Caroline Kepnes. It was developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, who are both executive producers. Gamble also serves as the showrunner.
You Season 3 will see Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, and Saffron Burrows return. Shalita Grant, Travis Van Winkle, Dylan Arnold, and Tati Gabrielle will join the series as newcomers.
In Season 3, Joe and Love are married and raising their baby. They have moved to the Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers. Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness.
You Season 3 streams on Netflix on Friday 15th October.
