Notable absences from the confirmed list include Michael Gambon, Julie Walters and Maggie Smith who played Mrs Weasley, Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore, respectively. However, it’s still possible that they may take part in the reunion in some form.
Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling, who has been criticized for her anti-trans comments, has not been announced to take part in the special either.
It is understood that the Special will be filmed in part, at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. The Making of Harry Potter is an attraction just outside of London, enabling visitors to experience authentic sets and discover the magic behind Special FX used in the films. Visitors can explore the Great Hall, Forbidden Forest and stroll through Gringotts Bank.
