Guliver’s Gate New York Review

Gulliver’s Gate New York Review

Gulliver’s Gate is a one-of-a-kind New York attraction, home to hundreds of miniature replicas and depictions of civilisation utilising intricate mechanisms and designs. This 50,000 square foot museum is packed with excellent detail, which tourists and architects alike will enjoy. Some great examples include the carousels and chicken coops which can be activated using keys given to guests upon their arrival – these can also then be kept as great souvenirs.

The stand-out highlight within Gulliver’s Gate is the replica model of New York City. It visually displays the monumental breadth of the city, with immense detail. You can even spot specific landmarks through the clusters of skyscrapers. You” find yourself in awe of the model, which will you give you a new perspective of the world-famous city.

Not only is there a model of NYC, but you can also find model replicas of different landmarks from Italy, Britain, Asia and more. Specific points of interest include the Colosseum, the Pyramids and the Great Wall of China. In total, 50 nations are represented with 300 small-scale scenes. Throughout the attraction, there is a combined total of 1,000 meters of railroad track, in addition to thousands of trucks, trains, boats, planes and cars, and 100,000 people.

The majority of models in the museum are created using a 1:87 scale. To put it in perspective, a 6-foot tall person would be represented with a 0.8-inch figure. Gulliver’s Gate has it’s very own full-body scanner combined and 3D printer that allows guests to create a miniature figure of themselves, as a special souvenir. Alternatively, guests can leave behind their model as a permanent miniature model at the attraction.

It takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to experience the whole attraction but it really depends on your pace. While the price point may be sharp, when compared to other NYC attractions, the ticket price is more than reasonable.
